The last week of June. In short: a very busy week for Pessl Instruments team travelling around South-East Asia.
We started the week off with announcing and signing a partnership agreement with Calata Corporation, one of the biggest agricultural conglomerates in the Philippines, with the goal of introducing data driven farming practices to the Philippines agricultural sector (more about the partnership here) and finished it at GSMA IoT Summit in Shanghai, where or CEO Gottfried Pessl participated in the discussion about Use Cases of bringing smart farming technologies to life with NB-IoT (more about cooperation with Huawei here).
In between, we took time for our Asia-Pacific Partners at the inaugural distributor meeting in Kuala Lumpur from 27 to 30 June.
The conference was split into two sections with commercial discussions during the first two days and an intensive technical workshop for the remaining days. Partners from Vietnam (AgriMedia), Thailand (Croptech Asia), Philippines (Calata Corporation), Malaysia (ESI), Indonesia (LCAS) and Australia (Sentek) were present at the conference with more new partners expected to participate in the event next year.
“We were very happy to finally have met them and overall, the conference was a great success with many new ideas and relationships established during the course of the event.” explained Vishnu Nair, Pessl Instruments Regional Director of Asia-Pacific Market.
